Black and White is a classic color combination we all know and love. Why is it so pleasing to the eye you may wonder? I studied color theory for many years and still find it fascinating. Here it is in Black and White! White is seen because of the reflection of visible light. Black on the other hand, is the absence or the complete absorption of light. They are complete opposites and that’s why they look so stunning together. Think: Zebra, a piano keyboard, Dominos, and of course, the Iconic Tuxedo. Black and White is a very interesting juxtaposition of something recessing and something popping out; black recesses- white pops out. This is why it makes a stunning combination and such an eye pleaser!
