I have had a penchant for capes since I was a little girl. I collect capes, which means hunting them down each season. Capes or mantles as they are often called have been worn through out history. Capes are utilitarian, while also being dramatic. Spring and Fall are great seasons for Capes. When its too cold not to wear a coat, but you don’t need all the coverage. You can layer underneath them and be ready for whatever Mother Nature brings. Capes come in all different fabrics and run the gamut from casual to formal.
Capes are great to travel with. Just put your arms inside and it becomes a very chic blanket. I promise once you become a Cape Crusader you will start to understand why this style has lasted through the centuries from Roman Times to present day.
