It was a 60’s Mod vibe at Gucci’s fall show. An adventure in A-line skirts & dresses, Go-Go Boots, and geometric detailing taking us back to 60’s London while simultaneously propelling us into a new MOD-ern world. One really gets who the Gucci Woman is, has been and always will be. In an interview with WWD, the designer, Frida Giannini said she is a woman who “dresses to please herself rather than others.” Since this is my credo, I was intrigued. After viewing the collection, I was fully satisfied. Gucci always has sleek, classic, modern lines and manages to make a simple silhouette sexy every time. The choice of fabrics, namely leather, is what makes this collection unique and transforms the classic shapes to modern musings.
