A lot of my clients and friends have inspired this post. Many men know what to wear for work, however in a less formal and more relaxed environment are sort of miffed as to what jacket or coat to wear. What is great is that many of these coats can be worn to the office or on a weekend.
It is always good to start building your wardrobe with basics. Start with Black, Grey or Tan. There are some great black jackets, such as: The FAY Jacket With Zip-Away Hood or the Belstaff black Harris Peacoat Or try Tan or Grey which are both timeless. Some great options are Ralph Lauren Wool Trench Coat or Zara’s double-breasted trench coat in Light Caramel.
You can have fun with this outerwear, which can be worn in both the spring and fall. If you already possess the basics and or just want to add a pop of color to your wardrobe, you can buy Blue, Orange or Green. All these colors look great with your jeans or khakis. Any Blue: navy, cobalt or any shade thereof is a fun, easy to wear, and incorporates seamlessly into your wardrobe. Mango’s Water Repellent Nylon Trench and J. Crews Nylon Fishtail Anorack are great choices for inclement or sunny weather. For a little more impact there are some great Orange Choices: Ralph Lauren purple label Maynard 4-Pocket Anorak or an orange trenchcoat from Zara. A more subdued choice is the green J. Press York Street Water Resistant Trench Coat.
This selection of Outerwear comes in a myriad of fabrics, which range from lightweight wool, leather, cotton, gortex, polyamide to nylon. I have selected quite a range in style and in price for you to choose from, so I don’t need to see fleece-hiking jackets everywhere I look! If I do, I may tell you to literally “go take a hike!”
